Baby News

I just got back from the Dr. and everything was great! When Dr. Moss would try to hear the heartbeat the baby would move away so she had to chase it down two or three times so we could actually get a count on it. The heartbeat was in the 140's and Dr. Moss said that sounds "boyish" to me! We go back Jan. 4 to find out what this little one is.

So how many of you have started your Christmas shopping? How many of you are already done? Well I have got a good start on mine. My Mom and I went Saturday we left Shelbyville at 1:30 and got back at 10:00pm. Whewwwww....talk about tired when we got back. Our last stop was Kohl's and you know when I say ok I'm so tired I can't even shop anymore I must be REALLY tired! We did get a lot done and had a great time.

Kaylee got her report card last Wednesday and once again got straight S's for the second six weeks. Way to go Kaylee!!!! School starts back in the morning after being off for Thanksgiving break. She is so ready to go back even though she had a great time off because she stayed two nights with Nana & Papaw.

Monday night Susan and I will be going to Angie's to finish making our last set of hand made Christmas cards. We always have a great time doing that, maybe you will receive one of our beautiful cards!

The pregnancy is going great, growing bigger everyday. We go back to the Dr. a week from tomorrow. I wonder how much weight I will have gained, at least I can use Thanksgiving as an excuse!!!!

Weekend

Our weekend started out on Friday evening by my mom, Kaylee and I going to the Unionville alumni boys and girls basketball games. We had so much fun although I didn't get to play this year, it was still a fun time seeing and visiting with old friends. You don't realize how much you miss people until see them.

Saturday evening we all (including my parents) went to the Liberty School fall festival. They had all kinds of games, vendors, dinner, a live auction and then the crowning of the fall festival king and queen. Kaylee had a great time running around the school with all of her friends. My Mom was bidding on a basket of baby goodies for me but she didn't win it she stopped bidding at $60.00 which I would have quit long before that, even though it was a very nice gift basket.

Sunday we had Thanksgiving with my Mom's side of the family at my cousin's home in Unionville. Of course everyone had a blast, something is wrong when you don't have fun with family and a spread of food to feed an army! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family!

Monday night is Unionville Jr. High Homecoming. Mom, Kaylee and I will be attending that. My cousin Katie plays for the Viqueens and my cousin Jake plays on the boys team. You know how basketball is in my blood, so I try not to miss their home games!

Here is the first pregnant picture of me, I didn't take pictures along the way with Kaylee until the very end and I vowed that I would do better this time. I am almost 14 weeks and feeling pretty good, my energy is starting to come back and I don't fell like I need to sleep all the time. The neausea has somewhat subsided but I still try not to let my stomach get too empty.

I'm sure that I will not get a chance to post again until after Thanksgiving, so I hope each of you have a very blessed THANKSGIVING!!!

Kaylee's going to be a big sister!

That's right......we are expecting a baby in May. We are 12 weeks prego and could not be happier. We went to the Dr. Friday and she confirmed that we are over our "high risk" hump and that our baby has a very healthy heart beat around 150 bpm. I only gained one and a half pounds through the first 12 weeks, which she said that is great, they don't like to see over 2 lbs. in the first trimester. It has been so hard to keep such a big secret and keep the nerves controlled. I'm telling you Friday when we heard that little heart beat my insides were screaming with joy and excitment. We are so happy and now maybe we can set back and enjoy the pregnancy. We go back to the Dr. Dec 3., please keep us in your prayers.

Our accident prone child

So this morning we get up and Kaylee says to me, " Mom my foot hurts I can't hardly walk on it", of course I'm thinking WHAT!!! As you will remember it was this time last year that she broke the growth plate in her right foot, so of course I was terrified thinking that something was wrong with that foot or maybe it was the weather or something. Well of course as I looked at it, it was not the right foot it was the left foot and yes it was swollen. So I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what she has done. She said she didn't fall or anything and I didn't see her fall so why was it swollen? Anyway....Kris took her on to the Dr. and they said it was just a mild sprain but if the swelling doesn't go down to bring her back next week. We still have NO idea what she did to hurt it and may I remind you it has only been two and half weeks since she got her arm out of the hot pink cast!

Funny!

I just have to tell this....
Kaylee has really got into playing checkers so last night she and I had a game going and Kris was trying to ask her something. She turned around and said, "Daddy I'm trying to conquer the world here!" (While she was waving her arm over the checker board) Oh my gosh, Kris and I laughed so hard, it was the funniest thing ever! I just have to wonder where she gets this stuff.

Gatlinburg Trip '07

Over the fall break weekend we took a little get a way trip to the Smokie Mountains. We really had a great time, of course it was go go go all weekend NO relaxing but it was fun. Kris and Kaylee went on a horse back ride up the mountain and Kaylee rode her own horse, Kris said she rode like a pro.

We did lots of put put golf and go cart riding. We went to the "Country Tonight" show, Kaylee really like it, especially the dancers, they were awesome. The singers were too!! We did the "upside down house". It was like the museum we went too in Chattanooga, it was really neat. Kaylee lay on a real bed of nails, that was pretty cool! And of course you can't go to Gatlinburg without lots of walking and shopping. It is so good to go but it also as good to come home to your own bed!!!
I will post more pictures soon. For some reason I can't get anymore uploaded.

Kaylee's first report card

Kaylee got her first six weeks report card this week. She had already promised us that it was going to be "GREAT"! Of course it was, she received straight S's!!!! That is the highest that she could get. She really loves school right now, I hope that it doesn't change. She was kind of upset when she was off for fall break she really wanted to go to school those two days. Nana came to check out the report card and gave Kaylee $20 for it being so good. Boy, I don't remember getting that much loot for my report cards!!!!

Another Broken Bone

Kaylee has now broken TWO bones within a year!!! Friday at school she jumped off of a piece of playground equipment, went to see the school nurse and she thought it was just sprained. There was no swelling, discoloration and had great circulation. Saturday morning we had to be on the soccer field at 7:30am for a single elimination tournament which means if we win we keep playing. Of course ADAMS LAWN SERVICE U8 girls won all day long and ended up in the championship game on Sunday afternoon. Kaylee played three games before we could leave to get an x-ray. The Dr. that looked at it didn't think it was broke either until he got the x-rays back. He could not believe that she had not complained anymore than she did. So today when went to her orthopedic Dr., (pretty sad at six years old and you already have a bone Dr.)Dr. Kyle Joyner. He walks in and says, "you again Ms. Kaylee"? (That is pretty sad too) He did confirm that it was broke above the growth plate and put her in a PINK cast for six weeks. While we where waiting Kaylee was trying to decide what color cast she would get this time, since she has already had a hot pink one and a purple one. So this time she went with light pink with sparkles. The worse part for Kaylee is Dr. Joyner told her NO soccer for three weeks, that liked to have killed her! Please keep her in your prayers in hopes that it heals quickly. What a tuff little gril!!!!
