SAHM

Today I got the pleasure of being a stay at home mom, Kara Brooke's sitter's son has the flu so there was no way she was going anywhere near there.  I have always wanted to be a SAHM but honestly my girls and I have too many wants and needs!  I absolutely love being at home with my kids and thank God everyday for them but I also like to have my adult day too and I really need a schedule.  I don't know if I would ever get anything done during the day if I did not set a strict schedule for myself.  Isn't that sad...
I just want to stay in my PJ's and play! So since I don't get these days very often that is just what we have done!!!

This about the only time Kara Brooke has been still today {other than the nap she is taking right now}, I was folding a load of laundry and she was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while eating her Cheezit's perched in Kaylee's favorite pink fuzzy chair!  {Sorry Kaylee, KB took over your chair while you were at school!}

Speaking of the pink fuzzy char this is where I found both of them yesterday afternoon.....

{oh how I love these two girls}

Oh and while you are looking at the above picture check out my monogrammed pumpkin that I did!!!  I have seen them so many other places and thought I might can do that myself.  I have NO artistic ability about me at all but I will say it turned out pretty cute!!  I have been meaning to take his picture for you all to see but just have never got around to it so I'm glad he was in this picture!

Ya'll have a great rest of the day and come back tomorrow as it will be a SAHD day for Kris!  He is keeping KB and Nate here tomorrow all by himself!  That ought to be interesting, to say the least!

High Winds

This morning we woke up to this......

Yes, that would be our patio table...shattered!!  Hmmmm...wonder where the umbrella is??

Oh could that be it a few feet away, with the extremely heavy base still attached??
So you mean to tell me that the wind got so high last night that it pulled the umbrella up through the middle of the table with that heavy base still in tack??

All that is left to do is clean up the mess...Glad Kris got to it before me! {ha-ha!}

17 Months

Kara Brooke,
It is so hard to believe that you are already this big.  You are so full of personality and you make us laugh all the time.  You can be so sweet and yet so mean difficult!!  You now have 7 teeth...FINALLY, I just knew I was going to have to get a partial made! ha!  You try to repeat anything that we say and you have also become more aware of the TV as you will at least look at it while you eat a snack the rest of the time you are on the go!  I can NOT imagine life without you as you are truly the child we prayed for!  We love you!

Oh and uh yeah this is the big whopping 100+ pound pumpkin that I told you about!  I told Kris he would have to get a sword or chainsaw to carve it!!

Pumpkin Patch

This afternoon we loaded up and went to the Pumpkin Patch, it was such a beautiful day and the girls had a blast.  Kaylee enjoyed all of the activities and Kara Brooke just loved being able to run wild!  Kris and I enjoyed ourselves as well!  We ran into quite a few friends but it was not packed at all, very enjoyable! I took a lot of pictures so enjoy....

Playing in the corn, Kara Brooke really did not know what to think at first but of course she dug right in!

The Hay Maze, this was like the corn maze but for little people!  Kaylee is trying to get Kara brooke to come through the tunnel!

Awww.....she made it!

Picking out the perfect pumpkin; let me just say we did not come home with one of these normal size pumpkins either...more on that in a bit!

Running wild, doing her own thing!

Kaylee mining on the river bank.

On the hay ride.  Kara Brooke would not look at me for anything!

Instead she did this!  Silly girl acts just like her Daddy!

Playing on the swing...

Again, running wild!

Kaylee at the end of the zip line.  She loved it and did it a million times!

Oh the animals...don't you just love the look on Kaylee's face, as the calf licked her hand; girl acts just like her Momma!

And here is boss pointing that little finger.  That is about as close to the calf that she got!

I think the calf licked her again!

Kara Brooke picked out her pumpkin.  She was so funny, the lady that was working in the pumpkin house had on a witches hat and Kara Brooke would pick up a Jack-a-boo and take it over to her hold it up and just crack up laughing.  She came home with two Jack-a-boos that she rolls on the floor and says, "BALLLL!"

Oh yes and here is Kara Brooke on one of the biggest pumpkins in the patch.  And yes we came home with one of these jokers that weighs in at 100 pounds!!!  This ought to be real fun carving in a couple of more weeks!  My husband...he just is not right!

And my sweet Kaylee getting a good picture without wrestling wild child!

Hope you enjoyed our day as much as we did.  So thankful for beautiful days and my beautiful family!!!

Random pics!

Here are a few random pictures of my sweet girls from the week! Enjoy....

Kara Brooke's new friend is "pumpkin man" as Kaylee says, or "Baabee" as Kara Brooke says.  KB picked out her new friend at The Pottery today.  She carried him around the store just as she is in the picture below, she even held him in the car the whole way home!  She is too funny!
