Thanks Mom.....

I know everyone thinks they have the best Mom ever but I hate to break it to you friends....my Mom is the BEST! First of all, I just wanted to share a few things that she as made for Kara Brooke's room.

This is the skirt and cover on the changing table that she made. Is not the cutest thing ever???

These are a few of the burp "rags" as Kaylee would say. I know, I know these ARE the cutest things you have ever seen!
So besides making and buying all of these sweet things today she came over with a mattress and sheets for the cradle helped me finish up Kaylee's room, cleaned both of my bathrooms (I mean like spotless!), changed the sheets on my bed, cooked dinner and cleaned up my kitchen. She is ALWAYS doing something for us!! Mom, I know you say I don't have to tell ya, that it is just your job but.................THANKS for EVERYTHING that you have done and everything that you will do in the next few months!
A few other things:
Kaylee went with her MeMe over spring break to get her nails done and she wanted to make sure that I put them on our "website".

I just had to share this picture, doesn't she look grown up?

Oh yeah we also bought our first pack of diapers this weekend too!

Tomorrow I go back to the Dr. I will see Dr. Moore this week, I have not ever seen her. She wasn't a partner when Kaylee was born, but I have heard great things about her! Stay tuned for that report.

Ever wonder.......????

Have you ever wondered what a six year old does while in the bathroom, waiting on someone to bring another roll of toilet paper?????????

You write on the empty roll!! Ok seriously.....why was there even a black marker in the bathroom?

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday! The Easter bunny made it to the Adams' house last night. This year he didn't leave a basket he left a new bike!!! Wheewwwwhoooo!!! We are supposed to get our driveway paved, actually it was supposed to be done two weeks ago, but....that is another story....anyway we talked it over with Mr. Big Ears and decided that a new bike would be great. Kaylee has a bike at my Mom's that she rides in the cul de sac but everyone needs a bike at home.

Fun times!

Kaylee had her friend Anna B. over Friday night, Kris and I were treated to some dress-up fashion shows. Check them out....Kaylee looks like someone off of 2nd Ave. in these first pictures.

I remember when Susan and I used to dress up and put on shows for our parents. Aww... the good ole days!

Finally.....

Cali Elaine made her debut Friday afternoon at 4:38pm weighing in at 8lbs. 1 oz. and 21 in. long! She ended up coming by C-section after poor Denise worked very hard to have her. Cali was just too big and Denise too small. Baby, Mom, Dad and big brother Braden are all doing great!

Dr.'s visit report

Saw Dr. Moss yesterday, everything was good. I gained 2 and a half pounds. She too thinks Kara Brooke will be here early. My BP was 120/80 and her heartbeat was great. The swelling was better at this visit but I have a taller stool under my desk to keep my feet up on so I think that has really helped. Dr. Moss did inform me that this pain that I have had under my right rib is little misses butt and foot in there, I have been trying to push her out but she doesn't seem to budge! Oh well...I hope she is satisfied....that is all that really matters!

All I want for EASTER is.....

my one front tooth!!! Check Kaylee out, she lost one of her front teeth. Kris and I think she looks hilarious!!! You know she had a small gap between her two front teeth anyway, which Dr. Clark said was great, well now there is a HUGE hole there!!

So she was very excited for the tooth fairy to come.....MR. tooth fairy left $20 for that front tooth! Can you believe that????

So that was the most important thing that happened over the weekend but also, Kris got my ferns for the front porch and back patio, he got the yard fertilized and also got my palms set out in my pots. As for me, I didn't do much of anything I stayed on the couch most of the weekend. I think this swelling is starting to get the best of me but I'm going to keep pushing on. I go to the Dr. tomorrow, check back for that report. Oh yeah I did make this yummy ice cream sunday for myself.
That is some DQ ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and toffee pieces. And NO I did not eat all of it only about half!

Sneak Peak

This weekend Kris and I have been working our rears off trying to get these two girls rooms situated before he gets so busy and before I get sooo big and tired that I don't even care. So here is a little taste of Kara Brooks room, the curtains, the bed and this ooohhh so cool lamp that I found a Target!

And here is a glance of Kaylee's room. Excuse the empty picture frames and be sure to pay extra attention to the lamp shade....my ever so talented Mother made it!!!! Is she not the coolest??? The curtains are still a work in progress I need another valance not quite happy with those just yet but we are getting there. We are still waiting on her desk to come in so be on the lookout for that in the next few days and then I will post a picture of the whole room!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Kaylee picked out her clock, she told me to be sure that I told everyone that!

Kaylee got her playhouse LAST Christmas as in 2006 and she has finally started playing in it! Kris and his Dad built it for her and she has been out there a few times but never really played in it. The last two days after school she has been out there playing and watching movies. It is decorated in princess decor with an upstairs loft and a TV/DVD player. Oh yeah it also has heat and air and has a tile floor, every girls dream!! Check out those red flowers..... her Grandaddy put those there for Christmas! And that landscaping, wonder who her landscaper is?

Dr. report

Today was my last monthly visit, I start going every two weeks. I saw Dr. McGowan today, I really liked her and got a great report. Everything was good, there was no trace of protein in my urine which means the swelling is not pre eclampsa yet. My BP was 120/80 and Kara Brooke's heart beat was great! She said that I am just going to be one of those people who carry more fluid than most and as long as the BP stays normal the baby is fine. She did say she didn't think I would make it 11 more weeks she thinks Lil Miss will be here early she would never say how much earlier just not May 20th. I am measuring pretty much on target but she said it is just hard to guess how much the baby will weigh or how much she weighs right now because of all the fluid. I have now gained a total of 30 lbs., yeah you heard me right 30 freaking pounds people! Of course, I was flipping out over that and Dr. McGowan said actually you still like another 50 lbs. to be where you were when you delivered your first child. I guess that was supposed to make me feel better! But she told me not to worry about the weight and fluid just keep doing what I have been doing and know my limitations. Also I went ahead and pre registered per Dr. McGowan's request.

29 weeks and counting.....

That first picture is for you Jennifer!!

Weekend Notes:

Saturday Kris and I worked on Kaylee's room. Our goal was to get it painted and her bed and dresser moved back so that she could sleep in her room. Note to Baw Baw, Kaylee has got a good night sleep for two nights straight. Her room was purple with dragonflies stamped on the ceiling. It took 3 coats of Kiltz on the ceiling and two coats of ceiling white. Kris had to do two coats of kiltz on the walls and then two coats of yellow and then one coat of white on the trim. The yellow is about two shades brighter than I really wanted it to be but Kaylee loves it. I am still not completely done with her room, we are waiting on a desk and TV to come in and then I still need to decorate the walls get more pillows for the bed and all of that good stuff!. We did get her curtains hung and she had an old toy box that I had Kris paint white and we made a window seat out of it, my Mom made a cushion to go on the top of it. Remember this is just a sneak peak, I mostly wanted you to check out the bright yellow.
Saturday night, Susan and I went to one of the prettiest weddings I have ever been to. Our friend Jill got married and it was just beautiful!
Sunday.....Wow what a pretty day!!!! Kaylee and Kris practiced softball while I watched through the window due to my ever swelling feet. My Mom came over and we went and changed out the flowers on my Grandparents graves. We later grilled hamburgers and steaks and ate like a bunch of little pigs. Kris and Kaylee also rode four wheelers.
Tomorrow (Mon. 3-3) I go back to the Dr. I see Dr. McGowan this time. She is the one who let me only work four hours a day with Kaylee when I started swelling. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything is ok and that she allows me to continue to work. I really feel great other than the normal prego stuff and I am NOT ready to be at the house 24/7!!!
