SNOW fun weekend 2010

On Friday, we got an unbelievable snow fall.  It came so fast, school had already closed the night before, thank goodness and the bank that I work for closed at 1 pm.  It was so beautiful and the kids enjoyed it all weekend long!
This is what the back of our house looked like after we got home.

Kaylee immediately had to go outside and make a snow angel!

Kara Brooke watched form inside, it was just a bit cold for her!

Then of course Daddy had to get the four wheeler out for a little action!

After they came in and warmed up, we made some delicious snow cream!!

Kara Brooke thought it was yummy too!!!

As did Kaylee!

What a mess!

Saturday Kris took Kaylee to sled down the hill at the flood gates! I swear she had a hat on, must have blown off, by the look on her face she was going pretty fast!

Fun, fun!

Later in the afternoon I just happened to catch this little guy peeping in on us!  Isn't he gorgeous!

Sunday, Kaylee had a friend over and we did some more sledding.  We are always looking for a great hill and we finally found it in our own front yard!  The girls had a blast!!

Hannah, Kaylee and Kara Brooke

Daddy taking it all in.

And this is what KB did when it was not her turn to sled!  She loved it so much!  Poor baby....

Kara Brooke the dare devil going down all by herself!

Later in the afternoon, our neighbor Jada and her daughter, Julia came over to join the fun!

Julia and KB ready for take off!

Something tells me Julia was enjoying her ride!

Oh yeah and Princess Kara Brooke being carried back up the hill!

Julia, Kaylee and Kara Brooke!!

It was such a fun weekend and we so enjoyed being snowed in!!  We ate and played games and tried to win some ebay auctions! ha!  Kaylee didn't have to go back to school until the following Wednesday so she was loving that!  God treated us to a mini vacation right in our back/front yard!

Hope you all had a fun filled snowy weekend too!

Again, it has been too long.....sorry!  I don't really have a lot to journal, we have been busy but not with any thing in particular.

Last weekend we attended Nate's 1st Birthday party.  It was such a cute party with bright boy colors and little monsters!  However, the party had to be cut short because the little man of honor got sick, he didn't even get to eat his birthday cake.  Poor guy!  Also, I don't have a lot of pictures to share because someone named ummmm Kris that lives at my house left my camera on in the bag and yeah it drained it!  But here are a few that I did get.....

On Sunday, Kris and I got up and went to Stallworth to visit with our friend Brent WIlliams.  It was absolutely an amazing day!  Brent has improved so much but yet still has a long road ahead of him.  His personality was so much more evident and his sense of humor was hilarious!  He kept us laughing most of the day.  He is remembering things so much clearer now and is doing great for 7+ weeks since the accident.  Thank you all so much for praying and please continue to pray that he will be fully restored and that he and Wendy can begin a new chapter of their lives very soon!

We are bracing for the winter storm of 2010 that the weather people are calling for.  They are saying that we will get 1 inch of ice and a few inches of snow. I can handle the snow and usually look forward to it but the ice.... flat out scares me!  We shall see!  Once again they have cancelled school before the first flake has even fell but I guess it is easier and safer to just not have the kids there than try to get them home on a nasty day.

Monday we start Jr. Pro basketball. I am not more excited than Kaylee! ha!  Really she is very excited to get started, she is remembering that she scored 16 points at her last basketball game! I have a feeling that it is going to be another year of lots to learn!

Also I have been thinking about birthday parties and will be here before I know it!  Wish my toes were in the sand right now!

20 months old close to two years old!  My oh my at how time flies!  Kara Brooke, you are changing into a mischievous sweet little girl, not so much a baby anymore!  I do believe the "terrible twos" are settling in a little early at our house though!  We have put up your highchair and you now sit in a booster seat at the table.  You love to pray when we eat, as we hold hands around the table you repeat after me or Kaylee, "Thank you Jesus, Amen", with your eyes half open so you can see what everyone else is doing!  It is just so sweet!  You and Kaylee actually play together good, you always have to be the kid and Kaylee always gets to be the teacher but really, you don't mind at all!  You do have a few more teeth, I'm sorry I haven't been able to count them but you are like a little piranha and I would like to keep my fingers, so I have no idea how many of those little sharp jokers are in there.  You are talking up a storm but still only when you want to or you want something.  Your newest word is "MOOOOVEE" and then we make you say, "Please", and you do, more like "Pewweeese".

You were broke from the paci until you found one a few weeks ago and now you WILL NOT let it go when you are at home!  You say, "Babe's pappy" and stick your tongue out.  You have got four months to give it up little sister or we will have to say good bye the hard way!  {I will add that I have hid all paci's now except for the one she keeps in her bed, that is a start right?}  You still love, love your baby dolls and it is so sweet that they share their bed and stroller with you!

Each and every day you are doing something new and something funny!  Your little personality is becoming more evident each day too!  I just can't believe you are almost two, guess I should start thinking about that second birthday party it will be here before I can turn around twice!  We love you so much Kara Brooke and I wished I could just slow time down for you and your big sister!

So, tonight I participated in my first zumba class and let me just say....... I LOVED it!!!   My leg muscles sure are burning tonight but that just tells me I was doing something!  I will not say I was doing something right because the good Lord knows....that is a joke!! hahahahaha!  I mean, I kept up pretty well but whew that is some fast dancing and some fast booty shaking and you know I'm 30 now a days and this girl just can't shake and move like she just too! Ha!
This class is one night a week at my office but our instructor does five nights a weeks just right down from my house maybe when I get better I will venture on down there and do it more often but I at least have to get where I feel like I will not get trampled on or over...which ever the case might be!  Girls, if you haven't tried zumba, do yourselves a favor and give it a will thank me for it...or hate me for it...'cause you might get addicted!!   Now get to shaking what your Momma gave ya! haha!

I would so love to hear from you guys on it or hate it...I want to know what you think?

Girls+One Boy Night out

A couple of days before Christmas; Amy, Wendy and I took the kids to see the Rockettes.  We left early in the afternoon to make sure we got there in plenty of time, our show wasn't until 7:30 pm. so we ate and hung out at the mall until time for our show.

Caleb, Kaylee, Taylor & Kayden

The girls acting so silly!

Practicing their kick line, they are hoping one day the might be dancing with the Rockettes!  Wheeww, we told them they better keep on practicing! Ha!

Waiting to eat at the Aquarium!  The kids loved it! {Don't you just LOVE that Caleb's smile, what a cutie!}

Awwww.....sweet girls.  They have so much fun together, I hope this bond last a loooong time!!!

Awww.... and this bond too!  I love these two ladies!!!

Taking a closer look at all the fish.  I think the diver was in the tank feeding the little fish at this point.

Ohhhh yes....this is John Dwyer from Channel 2 {a local Nashville station}.  They were getting ready to do the Live with Jeff Fisher show and the Titans!  It was so neat, we were standing right behind them, actually the security guard came over to me and said, "It's ok to take pictures but do not use your flash, you will mess with the TV cameras!"  Awww really, you mean we might be on TV???  I'm guessing nobody saw us right??? Ha!  Amy was hoping to get to see Jeff Fisher before we had to leave but no luck we had to get over to the show!

However we did get to see Stephen Tulloch right before we left!  That was pretty neat too.  I had to carry some bags to the van and the rest of the group went on up to the show and as I was crossing the street another limo pulled up and a man in a suit got out, I'm pretty sure that was Jeff and if I would have had my big camera with the big lens on I would have had a picture of him too with Amy superimposed with him!!!  Ha!

It was such a wonderful night and I'm so thankful for such wonderful friends!  I think we were all in need of a night out especially Wendy.  Speaking of which I just want to mention if you have not heard lately, Brent is doing better.  He has been moved to a rehab facility and is talking and trying to put together phrases.  He is recognizing some folks and is remembering a few things.  He is still very confused but is making so much progress everyday!  I can not believe just how far and quickly this whole thing has turned around.  I know we have God to thank and that is the only reason Brent is still with us and making the day to day progress that he has!  As Wendy says, "It is such a blessing to have a front row seat to watch God's hand at work!"  Please continue to pray for them!
