Honor's Day 2009

School is out for the summer but Kaylee wasn't too happy because "In second grade I have to learn multiplication!" Oh my and I bet that isn't all little miss! She really had a great year and at Honor's Day she received the Achievement Award long with another little classmate which happens to be the niece of a blogger friend. Oh and by the way, Allison, I totally stole your video, hope you don't mind!! ;) Kaylee had all A's on her report card for the year....she makes us so proud! She will be spending the summer at Barnyard and attending several ball camps, swimming and the list goes on and on!

Here is the video I was talking about! Enjoy!

Pictures

The morning before Kara Brooke's birthday party my FAV-O-RITE photographer, Julie Smith, came to my house to do some cake pictures with little miss. We had originally planned on doing most pictures outside but as you know mother nature had a different plan and it was pouring down rain! Here is a sneak peak of what Julie sent, bless her heart she is really having to edit due to the lighting. We are getting real one year old and family pictures made Sunday afternoon outside, so be on the look out for those.

One Year old!

Happy Birthday Kara Brooke!

I just can NOT believe that our little KB is already ONE!  I know that I have said that everytime she gets a month older but SERIOUSLY.....I really am not handling this well.  I guess since I know she is our last one I want her to stay a baby forever but boy she proved me wrong today with her grown up attitude, walking around like she owns the place and trying to copy everything we say!
Oh how I remember this day last year soooo well.  Kris and I were talking on the way home from the Dr. about how May 12, 08 was probably THE scariest day of my life EVER!  On the inside I was dying, I just knew something was wrong with my 10 pound BLUE baby.  After the Dr.'s reassured me she was okay I was still screaming on the inside and praying sooo hard that she was ok.

And sure enough one year later, Dr. Bradley tells me she is a very healthy and very strong 23.13 pound bundle of pure JOY!  She is still in the 90th percentile on height, weight and head circumference.  Which Dr. Bradley said was great meaning she is very proportional and is not at all overweight! ;)  She wants us to start weaning her off of the Alimentum to whole milk and of course is about time to start doing the same with the bottle.  Which shouldn't be too hard except for the night one.  She still only has two teeth but thinks she can eat anything and pretty much does.  Poor baby had to get 4 shots and her finger stuck.  She SCREAMED and SCREAMED and then fell fast asleep.
~Waiting for Dr. Bradley~
When she woke up in the car she realized she had a band aid on her finger and was trying to pull it off.  I think it finally came off sometime this afternoon but I have no idea what happened to it maybe she ate it, I don't know!

She is now riding face forward and can she where she is going instead of where she has been and loves it.  She loves watching the TV in the car too.  Maybe we WILL get to take a vacation this year since she likes to ride!

We got back just in time to go pick KK up,  Kara Brooke says, "NayNay" but we know what she means!  I let her out of her seat and she was climbing {imagine that} all over the van while we were waiting for big sister.

After we got home I was able to snap a few more pictures of our sweet baby girl!

Dear Kara Brooke,
We are so happy that God saved you for us and now we can not imagine our life with out you and you definitely complete our family!  You are one funny little girl full of personality and you love to do things how and when you want to do it!  As your big sister "NayNay" says, "We could  not have asked for a better baby!"  She is SOOOOO right!  We LOVE you to the moon and back baby girl!   HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!

You are one pretty cool baby, I guess we will keep you!
And just because I still can NOT believe I birthed a 10 pound baby........
.....bless her little heart...ain't she sweetest half grown baby that you have ever seen!?!  Thank you all for sharing our first year with us, it has been absolutely AMAZING to have two beautiful baby girls!
Love ya!

Happy Mother's Day!

My Mother's Day started off bright and early with Cutie Face on the left waking up at 5 am!  It was such a pretty morning before it clouded up and got all rainy AGAIN!  I recieved some of the best gifts that Kaylee had made at school and church, a $100.00 bill and dinner at the Olive Garden with my mom and Kris' mom.  It was a great day and I am so thankful for my two baby girls!

Here are some more pictures from Saturday after the party.

Busy Weekend

Our weekend started Friday night with a weekend long softball tournament.  We won Friday night so that meant we played Saturday.  I will just skip Saturday's game because that is about how we played like we wasn't even there!  It was TERRIBLE!  Glad that was over in the 3rd inning!  Oh well...regular season starts Monday night!  Kara Brooke went to sleep in the car almost as soon as I put her in the car.  Poor baby is going to have to live at the ball fields and swimming pool!  Kaylee of course went home with Gracie Beth.   Sunday I went to Susan's 31 party and purchased some cool new stuff.  Kaylee went to Baw Baw's to play with Ethan, Kara Brooke went to the party and picked her out a pretty new purse that holds her sippy cup, I may have a girly girl on my hands.  Jennifer did get a picture hopefully she will share it soon!
After the party we went to Nana's for our Sunday afternoon dinner.  Yummy as always.  We got to get outside and play and soak up the BEEEE-U-TIFUL weather.  Kara Brooke loves dogs and there are a few in my Mom's neighborhood and she goes nuts, squealing and caring on.  She is a mess!

I have to tell a funny story about Kaylee.
Her Nintendo DS has malfunctioned and she is tore up {Kris is too!} so she is trying to figure out how she can get up $160+ to buy a new one.  She has saved up some money and is only about $40.00 short.  So she called Nana and said I need $40.00 for my birthday, of course Nana said ok.  Well later on tonight Kris went ahead and gave her a $100.00 bill for her birthday {birthday is over a month away mind you} she flipped out... SOOOOO excited.  Then she went on to ask me about how much she would have to use of her money, I told her to go get her calculator and figure it out.  She came back and told me the amount and I agreed with her and told her about the tax.  "TAX???  you mean Wal-Mart will charge a KID...TAX"? Oh yes dear everyone in America has to pay tax.  She then said, "Well I'll just go to Mexico to buy MY new DS!"  OOOOOKKKK... don't think that will be happening!

I have been getting ready for KB's 1st birthday party!  I still can't believe it.....Stay tuned for a preview of her invite it is just adorable!

Hope you have enjoyed the pictures and have a great week!
