Since so many of you have asked who made KB's beautiful birth announcements, I wanted to give a HUGE shout out to my friend M over at peekaboo-greetings. She did a fabulous job and all of the proceeds that she makes goes toward the adoption of the their little girl from China, is that not awesome? I didn't want to BUT....

I did....I traded my SUV for a mini van.......a MINI VAN people....I am NOT even 30 years old and sporting a van........

Oh well..I ABSOLUTELY love my van now...3 weeks later.....

I knew I needed to get something a little bigger than my Acura because Kara Brooke's car seat would not even fit behind the driver side or passenger side without the front seat being moved all the way up into the dash. Kris would not let me get a bigger SUV because of gas prices which I totally agreed........BUT a VAN????? When we went to look I wouldn't even get out of the car to look at a van at first but when I did and drove it I changed my mind completely. So I have come to the conclusion if you have more than one kido, a huge stroller, bat bag, swim bag, lawn chairs (that stay in year around for the different ball fields that we visit) and ALL the other junk that I have to tote around, you need a van!!! So please don't make fun of me when you see me coming in my new "grocery getter" as Kim W. says!

Swim meet

Kaylee's second swim meet was last night and she did really good, she cut off 5 whole seconds on her back stroke and had the same time as her last meet on her freestyle. I told her that as long as she is improving and cutting her times she is doing great! She is really enjoying the swim team, I'm just glad I have been able to juggle all of her activities! A huge THANKS to my Mom or I wouldn't be able too. Here are a few pictures from last night before my camera batteries died.

A weekend of celebrations

Our weekend started Thursday night, Kaylee's friend Gracie Beth came home with her after their first swim meet. They had a really great time and they said they didn't go to bed until 3:30 am Friday morning...who knows. Friday afternoon we went to Chuck E. Cheese and the girls had a great time.

Kara Brooke's first trip to Chuck E.'s was fun too. She was awake when we got there, then she ate and fell fast asleep, yes even with ALL the noise!

Saturday Kaylee had a swim party at Nana's house. She had seven girls there and I think they all had a great time because none of the girls were ready to leave. After the swim party we attended a birthday and Father's Day cookout for Kris' Dad. Kaylee was born on her Grandaddy's 50th birthday so they get to share a party every year.

Sunday afternoon we had a family cookout for Kaylee's birthday but before everyone got there my baby girls took a nap......

and then.........bring on the presents....

My parents got Kaylee a basketball goal, Kris and his brothers stayed late putting it together for their little niece! They are all on the other side of the table working on the backboard....except for Derrick, they must have sent him to the shop for another tool!

As you can see we had a very busy weekend and LOVED every minute of it!

My goodness....someone please tell me.....where does the time go? I can not believe we are celebrating another birthday, her 7th birthday. Today it is all about you little girl.......you are such a blessing and we thank God everyday for our healthy and active seven year old!

Happy 1 month birthday to Kara Brooke!!!

KB is 1 month old today and she is doing great! She is sleeping about three to four hours during the night so maybe she will be sleeping ALL night before I have to go back to work. She loves to ride in the car and loves for Mommy to hold her!!!

We are home!

We finally got to come home last night....whewhooo....although it was nice staying at my Mom's, kind of like vacation, but it is always nice to get back home. Our floors look great and I have to give credit to my husband, last night Kaylee had a mock swim meet that lasted 3 hours and I knew that there was still a little bit of cleaning and organizing that still needed to be done before I brought the girls home, to my surprise Kris had already got everything done before we got out of the swim meet. Oh my, I was so happy when I got here. He had to wash and put all the china and crystal back into the hutch, vacuum, sweep and mop and he even did a load of laundry (washed, dried, folded AND put away).

Just in case...

you have wondered where I have been, we have had to pack up and move out of our house because they came to start putting our new floor in and when they took up the old floor it was still wet underneath (rewind back to when our ice maker line busted) so they are running fans in and under the house to dry it out. Therefore we are living with my Mom for a few days. Hopefully they will finish it by Tuesday afternoon and then I can get over there and get all the dust and debris cleaned up, it looks like a war zone there right now!!
