Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas and are so very thankful for our family and friends.  This Christmas we had a "wake up call" as my aunt had a very serious wreck last Sunday after we had finished our family get together.  We realized that life is more precious than any Christmas present that anyone could ever buy, thankfully Wendy got to spend another Christmas with us, as God had his arms wrapped tightly around her.  After a stay at Vanderbilt, two surgeries and confinement to a wheelchair for 12-14 weeks and possibly 2 more surgeries within the next year she is on her way to recovery.   I will not go into the whole what happened {only because it infuriates me} but I will say please people don't allow someone who does not have a drivers license behind the wheel of a car especially a 13 year old!! Anyway...We LOVE you Aunt Wendy and know you will not be down for toooooo long and good luck with that knitting!

7 months old

Cutie Face is now 7 months old.  She seems to finally be getting over her cold and snotty nose.  I hope so, she has been on antibiotics for 20 days {if you know me, you know, I CAN NOT stand to give my girls medicine} now, she seems to still have a cough every now and then but I'm chalking it up to "trying to cut teeth"!

Kaylee had her nerf gun out and she and Kara Brooke had a blast with it.  Kaylee would shoot it and then KB would try to go get the bullets, it was so cute.

Christmas parade 2008

First, Kara Brooke went back to the Dr. this morning, after she came off the antibiotics from the ear infection it wasn't but about four days later that she started the congestion and runny nose stuff again, so Mom and Kris ran her over to the Dr. this morning while I was working.  The infection is gone she just basically has a cold.  She put her on another 10 day antibiotic and refilled her cough medicine.  So hopefully we will be over this junk soon!!

Next, tonight was the Shelbyville Christmas parade!  Normally we always watch it with friends but this year Kris and Kaylee were in the parade!  Kaylee decided that after the Veterans Day parade that Kris needed to put his truck in the parade.  We were very skeptical at first but they had such a great time and said they would definitely do it again next year.  Kris said it was just a joy to see the smiles on the kids faces when they threw out the candy and hearing everyone say "Merry Christmas"!  That is what it is all about....
